Alhamra Art Council
The Alhamra Arts Council is situated on a frontier
period street in Lahore, Pakistan, that was previously known as Mall Road and
has been renamed as Shahrah Quaid-e-Azam. The causes of expressions of the
human experience complex lie in an underlying commission of Nayyar Ali Dada to
structure a 1000-seat assembly room for the Alhamra Arts Council (AAC), of
which he was a part. The AAC had been given the site by the administration in
the years promptly following autonomy, however, had commonly arranged its
exhibitions outside. The theater was finished in 1979 and supplanted some brief
structures.
The structure was a champ of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1998, when the jury portrayed it as "an uncommon case of
