Gaddafi Stadium
The Gaddafi Stadium, situated in the chronicled city of Lahore, was worked in 1959. It was
known as Lahore Stadium at that point. In 1974 Stadium was renamed as Gaddafi
Stadium out of appreciation for Colonel Gaddafi of Libya who was exceptionally
well known among Pakistani individuals in that period. The Stadium was
structured by the popular draftsman, Nayyar Ali Dada. He followed the Mughal
style of Construction, utilizing red hand-laid block work and curves. The stadium was totally redesigned in 1995, for the final match of World Cup 1996
was to be played here.
The Gaddafi Stadium was the main arena in Pakistan to be outfitted with current and
